Khaled Hosseini
- Born in Kabul in 1965
- His father was a diplomat with the Afghan Foreign Ministry
- In 1976 he an his family was moved to Paris
- They where going to return in 1980, But communist coup and Soviet invasion prevented them
- In SEPT they moved to San Jose CA
- Khaled earned a bachelors degree in Biology in 1988
- Then went on to earn a medical degree in 1993
- While practicing medicine he wrote Kite Runner in MAR 2001
- Got published in 2003
- Then went on to write A Thousand Splendid Suns in 2007
- He now works on bringing humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan with theThe Khaled Hosseini Foundation
